Hi there, Tiffany!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney. I’d be happy to help clarify this for you!
Sending virtual hugs to you, as I have been in your shoes before. Losing an ID is definitely not the best feeling when you have an important trip coming up!
Because you purchased the
California Resident Ticket, you are required to present a valid government-issued photo ID that includes the qualifying address. Unfortunately, utility bills or any other “proof of residency” documents are not valid forms of ID to enter with this ticket type. Even a passport wouldn’t work in this case since it does not have your address on it. The ID would need to be either a driver’s license or a CA ID card from the DMV.
The good news is that all is not lost; you can reschedule your visit until you have received your replacement. You can
modify your theme park reservation up until the last minute of the day before your scheduled visit.
While your next visit may have to be after the holiday season has concluded, the Disneyland Resort has some
wonderful events happening in January. The
Disneyland Resort 70th celebration will continue with the return of the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade parade, the Wondrous Journeys nighttime spectacular, and — my personal favorite — the Paint the Night parade. There are even
new foods and drinks coming to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure!
Tiffany, I understand that this may not have been the news you desired. I truly hope that you have the most magical time on your next Disneyland adventure! If you have any more questions, my friends and I here at planDisney are always eager to assist.
Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
Karmeen
