Hello there, Kristin!
It's a small world after all, because I recently did a trip with my in-laws, and it was so helpful to have our accounts linked up! Linking your family's accounts together allows you to make
advanced dining reservations and
Disney Genie+ service selections for your party.
First things first, if everyone in your group doesn't have one already, each member of your party will need to create their own
My Disney Experience account or profile. After they've created their accounts, you'll want to link them to your
"My Family & Friends List." Now, there are a few ways you can
add them to your list: - find them through your already connected Guests,
- import their information from their Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation,
- enter their name and age, or
- go on the My Disney Experience mobile app, press the three horizontal bars on the bottom right corner of the screen, scroll down, and click "My Profile." Add them by scanning their linking code on their app.
If you're looking to use the Disney Genie+ service, adults can either purchase their own or you can purchase all of the Disney Genie+ services for the group on the date that you are planning to visit using the My Disney Experience app. Here's a brief description of how to
add Disney Genie+ service to the My Disney Experience mobile app.
Once you have all these bare necessities, you can start making all sorts of reservations for just the two of you or your entire party. When my husband and I are visiting the theme parks on our own, we can jump from one attraction to the next. We always have to remind ourselves to slow down our pace a bit when other family joins. On our recent trip, we found that it gave his parents a nice break in the afternoon to have an advanced dining reservation for a late lunch/early dinner. It gave everyone's legs a rest, and we were able to laugh about all of the attractions we had enjoyed earlier on in the day. I hope you found these tips and tricks helpful.
May the magic be with you!
Melanie
