Our 2019 trip will be our first as a party of 6, so tip will automatically be added. If you're on the dining plan, will they just show a balance of the tip amount on your receipt and then allow you to pay however you chose or charge to your band/room?

    Hi Holly!

Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm excited for your return to the Most Magical Place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort! So much has happened since your last visit, I hope you're ready to enjoy your old favorites as well as experience some new attractions that hopefully your whole family will love!

When dining at any of Disney's 100+ Table-Service Dining Locations with a party of more than six guests, whether on individual tickets or paying as one large group, an automatic gratuity of 18 percent is added to the bill. When utilizing a Disney Dining Plan, you can pay this end amount however you'd like. I had the pleasure of dining at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' last week with a small group of my Disney Parks Moms Panelist favorites, where we experimented with all the different ways our checks could be paid. Some charged the gratuity portion of their bills to their individual MagicBands, some paid in cash, and one even put the balance of the gratuity on a Disney Gift Card. All these methods of payments were accepted without any difficulties. One of the neat things about paying with your MagicBand is that this is done directly at your table, which saves a bit of time from having to get change or run a credit card in the back.

I hope this helped with planning your Disney Days, Holly, and We'll See You in 2019!
