Hi! Trip Feb 13-21. We live in Louisiana and off for Mardi Gras. Figured light crowds b/c La is only state to have that time off. How are the crowds and weather during this time in your gestimation?

    Hi Jennifer!

Throw me something mister!!!  As a fellow Louisiana girl, we have traveled to Disney World over Mardi Gras many times and enjoyed light crowds and fantastic weather.  It's so funny to see the swarms of purple, green and gold mingling through the parks.  Unfortunately, our local Holiday also falls during President's Day weekend in 2010.  This is known as "Peak" season, which in turn, means "Peak" prices!  The crowds will be pretty big during this time, but on the plus side, the weather will be amazing.  I am contemplating planning a trip for my family over Mardi Gras and just preparing for the large crowds.  The great news is that Disney World usually opens earlier and stays open later during these times!  Also, multiple showings of parades and fireworks are often shown.

Since Mardi Gras falls on a different day and sometimes even a different month each year, it may wind up in Value Season soon.  I'm so sorry that I can't offer you better news!  On the bright side, we have the entire week off and I can't think of a better place to spend it than in Disney World!!!

    Much pixie dust,
