1st trip 4 our family 7/22-7/24! Planning day 1 in MK; day2 animal kingdom 4 safari early, then breakfast at resort (PO Riverside), then Hollywood w/ the balance of the day + dinner in Epcot. Maybe a resort swim after. Will have car. That sound feasible?

Hi Nancy! Wow, you have an energetic plan in place for your short Disney trip. We often recommend at least one full day in each park but when you have only a couple of days to visit you have lots of decisions to make.

Obviously it sounds like you will have the park hopper option with your tickets which you will indeed need for this plan. A full day in the Magic Kingdom is a must for the first time visit as that is what Walt Disney World is all about.  The Animal Kingdom is our favorite second park and although the Safari is amazing there are so many other attractions there that are superb. Be sure it is the only thing you wish to enjoy before heading off to another park. You can also get a good breakfast right there so making a side trip back to your resort is not necessary and would probably take time away from your day.

Hollywood Studios will offer some good choices with Toy Story Mania being the prime target for guests to run to. The lines there can often be more then an hour long and by mid morning the fast passes have been distributed. With this said you will be looking at long lines likely for the Studios on this day so please be prepared.  It is why we often suggest that you hit a park early and just enjoy it for the day. Ending with dinner in Epcot is super as there are so many great restaurants in the World Showcase to make a reservation for.  Then top the day off by watching the wonderful Illuminations that evening at 9pm.

My only suggestion as I stated would be to choose one park on the second day to concentrate on and then end with Epcot. But if you are ok with lines at the attractions and have the energy to hop from park to park then go for it! Parking at each park will take time so although it sounds like a time saver it might be just as easy to take a bus from your resort.
