This is our 6th trip to DW in 10 yrs! I'm trying to plan it differently to allow time to relax by a pool. We are staying at AofA Sept 29-Oct 6. At what time does the pool open in the morning and would it be hot enough to swim from 9h-10h30am?

    Bonjour Caroline,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question about your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this fall! I always recommend that Guests take time to enjoy their Resort and take breaks during the day. After all, even though there is so much to see and do during your visit, it’s still important to remember that you’re on vacation and to relax a bit!

You’ll be pleased to know that all pools at Walt Disney World Resort are heated, including the Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. I don’t think that you will have a problem swimming at all in the morning, especially at the end of September/early October, when the weather is still warm, but less humid than in the summer months.

As for the pool hours, they vary by season and I’m not sure what they will be yet this fall. That being said, the pools typically open some time between 7:00 am and 9:00 am, so you should be okay if you plan to take a dip some time around 9:30 am. Please ask your Resort’s Lobby Concierge for more information about pool hours once you check in for the fun!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
