This will be our 5th trip to DW in Oct, This time bringinf the entire family, adults and 3 kids, we have thought about the PO Riverside. Who loves this hotel? We like to try somewhere diff each time. We have stayed Sartoga Sp, All Star and Coronado

I do, I do!  I've had the opportunity to stay at three of the four moderate hotels and Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite - hands down!  The grounds there are absolutely gorgeous, with tall trees and beautiful foliage everywhere.  Quiet strolls along the Sassagoula River will make you feel as though you've stepped into the deep south.  Accommodations are themed to the hilt, whether you stay in the stately Mansion section, or the charming Alligator Bayou section.

Port Orleans Riverside has a wide array of recreation opportunities available as well.  There is a fishing hole, a marina for boat rentals, and horse-drawn carriage rides available right on site.  You can also rent a surrey bike and pedal along the path towards Port Orleans French Quarter.  The sit-down restaurant offers great food and service and there is even a lounge where you can have a drink after a long day.  The main pool is well-themed and tons of fun, but there are quiet pools available too, throughout the resort.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Port Orleans Riverside last September.  The availability of extensive recreational opportunities as well as the gorgeous grounds give Port Orleans Riverside a deluxe feel for a moderate price.  I hope you enjoy your stay there as much as I did!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
