I have a trip to DW in mid Sept. with my mom and daughter (age 8). It will be our first trip. Is that time of the year slow on tourist to where I can wait on making reservations for the special events and dining, or should I be making them ahead of time?

    Hi Jeanette,

How exciting for you and your little princess!  I love helping with first trip questions!

Mid September is a great time to visit, but I always recommend that you make your dining reservations in advance.  There's nothing worse than looking forward to a restaurant or event, and not being able to get in and enjoy it.  Even though the parks are not as crowded it's all still busy.

Remember, you may not want to book three meals a day, but decide which ones are the most important and book those on line or by calling (407)WDW-DINE.  Character dining is especially popular and fill up quickly.

I'm sending pixie dust your way to make your trip even more magical!  Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World!
