For our trip we're driving 16hrs Fri, then stop overnight & arrive around 11am Sat. Staying @ FW Cabin. Can we spend the afternoon at the Boardwalk without activating our park pass? Cut our pass by a day that way & save $$? Then campfire that night

    Katrina:

Your plan sounds like a solid one to me: spending time strolling the Boardwalk and enjoying Crescent Lake and the shops! No admission is required, except for Jellyrolls!

Be aware, though, that many of the strolling magicians and storytellers that the Boardwalk boasts don't come out until late in the afternoon and early evening when it will be time to head back to Fort Wilderness. But you can certainly rent a surrey bike, hop on one of the boats ferrying to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios just for the ride or stop in the ESPN club for a drink and to catch the latest game.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
