Trip on Dream getting close! DS (2) is very close to potty training. But, I'm worried to let my NEWLY potty trained child in the pool diaperless. His swimsuits have built-in diapers. Can I explain to staff he is trained, but I'd like the extra barrier?

    Hi Amy!

You must be so excited that your Dream cruise is getting close!  I don't blame you at all...personally, I'm addicted to Disney Cruise Line ships, and spend a lot of time planning future trips.

I understand that you're afraid that your son will have an accident in the pool...in fact, it's more than likely he will.  Let's face it, he'll be in the cool water. The United States Public Health Service requires that only children who are toilet trained be permitted to enter swimming pools onboard cruise ships.  I would play it safe and let him have a blast at Nemo's Reef, Disney Dream's Wet Play Area.  He may not be allowed in the pool with the built-in diapers.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Have a wonderful trip!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
