Howdy, Holly! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your questions.
I am so excited that you and your family will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time! You have made a good choice in deciding to
buy Park Hopper tickets. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are located directly across from one another and it takes less than five minutes to hop from park to another. When you purchase your tickets, you will notice that there are different prices for adults and for children ages 3 through 9. If your kids are 10 years old or older, they will require adult tickets.
No birth certificate or proof of age is required to purchase tickets or to activate them at the gate. Speaking of activation, when you arrive at the park gates on your first day, each member of your family will have their picture taken and they will be instructed to write their names on the back of their paper tickets. Their picture will then be associated with their ticket from this point onward. If you link the tickets to your
Disneyland app, be sure to add a name to each one as you are linking them so you can keep them organized electronically. When it’s time to hop over to the other park, each person will present their Park Hopper ticket and they will be on their way. Easy as that!
If you have any other questions about park hopping or any other element of your trip, please don’t hesitate to visit us again!
