Hi there, Sherry! Thank you for including us at planDisney in your magical vacation planning! My husband and I recently upgraded our date-based theme park tickets to Annual Passes and are so glad we did! Like you, I did the math (my husband says I somehow become a mathematician only when it applies to Walt Disney World Resort vacations...just like magic) and discovered that with our vacations planned for 2024, we would actually be saving money this year by becoming Annual Passholders. I also love that since the upgrade policy allows Guests to apply the price of their existing ticket to the Annual Pass, you don't feel the price of the Incredi-Pass all at once!I agree that one of the best parts of being a Passholder, besides having access to The Most Magical Place on Earth whenever we choose, are the perks and exclusive discounts. Annual Passholders are currently eligible for discounted rates at Disney Resort hotels through July 7. Unfortunately, any discounts available for December 2024 have not yet been announced, so I'm sorry that I am unable to provide a definitive answer. I was however able to do a bit of digging that will hopefully assist in your decision-making process and can share that last year's winter discount was very similar to the discounted rates currently offered (even a bit higher for some dates) and was announced in June. Of course, there is not a guaranteed timeline or discount, but I hope this information can give you an idea of when to keep an eye on the Special Offers page.If you do decide to make Walt Disney World Resort your Casita away from home but aren't sure exactly how to upgrade your theme park ticket, I want to assure you the process is quite simple. Just stop by a Guest Relations location in any theme park or visit the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs with a photo ID and pay the difference between the cost of your theme park ticket and an Annual Pass. As a reminder, the upgrade must be completed while the theme park ticket is still valid (before its final day of use).I hope this information was helpful, Sherry, and that you have many magical vacations in the coming year. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to stop back by. We're happy to help!Hakuna Matata,Lizzie
