Hi, I have a trip to Disney World booked for April 2018. We have a 4 year old and 1 year old. My question is how does the rider switch work? Thanks in advance.

Hello Jade and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
As the current UK Mum here on the Panel I'm always super happy to offer assistance to a fellow Guest from the United Kingdom with their families jolly holiday plans to visit the magic of Walt Disney World Resort.
Your little Mouseketeers are just the right age for a Disney trip and I bet you all as a family are beginning to get very excited about your rapidly approaching April holiday; it's sure to be practically perfect in every way!
I'm think you'll benefit from utilising the wonderful Rider Switch service when visiting the Disney Theme Parks and enjoying the many fun Attractions and experiences.  Rider Switch works by allowing your whole family to stay together even when someone isn't able or doesn't wish to ride - for example: after checking in with the Attraction Cast Member and gaining a Rider Switch Pass 1 adult can wait with the non-rider or riders whilst the rest of the group enjoys the Attraction. Once they've completed their turn on the Attraction the waiting adult can then switch with the riding party and then enjoy the Attraction with little or no wait at all, plus they can also be joined on the Attraction by 1 other Guest in your party! Rider Switch may sound complicated, but truly it works like a gem in practice.
Wishing you an extra enchanted upcoming Spring holiday to Walt Disney World Resort
