I am going on a trip to Disney soon, what disney deluxe resort is the best for a family of 4 based on price, theme, and location? (Kids are 11 and 7)

Hi Denise!  The Disney deluxe resorts are very inviting due to their extra amenities and location.

If you choose to be close to the Magic Kingdom park then I would suggest the Polynesian resort.  This is a relaxed atmosphere with a wonderful pool area as well as beach where you can spend time in a hammock or watch the Wishes show every night.  The kids will enjoy renting one of the Sea Raycers to zip around the Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake.

The best resort for families that is close to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios is the Beach Club.  This is a personal choice as I love the location since you can reach two parks without getting on a bus.  There is always some sort of kids game activity going on in the lobby of this resort and it has the family feel to it over the Yacht Club which has a more business feel.  Stormalong Bay is the pool area that spreads between these two resorts and is considered by many to be the best pool on Disney property.

You also can enjoy the Boardwalk area in the evening when the street performers and games come out. During the day rent a surrey bike and let the kids pedal you up and over the bridges.  Great exercise and lots of laughs!

When it comes to budget reserve the cheapest garden view room over water view as you are not in the rooms enough for that to make a big difference.  What is important is that you can be in a deluxe resort enjoying the deluxe amenities!
