1st trip to Disney in March 2011 & super excited! We will have 4 full days at Disney. As of now, we have 3 Character Breakfasts booked. Need to know some of the BEST places to make other ADR for dinner for myself, husband & daughter, age 6. Tha

    Bradford:

I know you're looking forward to your first trip!

You didn't mention which breakfasts you chose, but I polled my soon-to-be-6-year-old son and these were his favorite restaurants from our last trip. (They happen to be some of mine, too....)
    • Chef Mickey's: He says he loves the MIckey waffles. If you're on the dining plan, dinner is a great value.
    • T-Rex: It's not just for boys. If your daughter is an animal lover, either it or its sister restaurant, Rain Forest Cafe, are hits with our children. The animatronic animals provide a memorable atmosphere, although my son says he likes it for the dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets. It's not on the Disney Dining Plan, but an excellent choice for budgets if you're not on the plan.

A few extras that I think you'd enjoy:

    • Biergarten: Although any restaurant in Epcot provides near-authentic international dining experiences, this ones welcomes us back, time after time with its Oktoberfest floor show (our sons loves to do the chicken dance) and buffet that's got many choices for picky eaters.
    • Sanaa: The view of the Savannah animals will delight your daughter. The menu offers lots of samplings in case you're timid about what to order. I found my waiter to be well-versed in explaining the flavors of the menu.
    • 1900 Park Fare: I'm assumming one or some of your breakfasts are at either Akershus or Cinderella's Royal Table with the princesses. This restaurant at dinner provides time with not only Cinderella but also the Prince and the Wicked Stepmother and Stepsisters!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
