Hi Suad!
One of the cool things about a vacation to Walt Disney World is that you can make
dining reservations in advance, but it's not always a great thing when you book a last minute vacation and nothing you want is available. I am semi-local, so most of our trips are decided last minute, but we are still able to get into some pretty popular restaurants.
You are more than welcome to try as a walk-up to any restaurant, but be prepared to be turned away or have a really long wait if they are at capacity. I have had good and bad luck as a walk-up at both
Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park and
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant (my hubby's favorite!) in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Depending on how last minute your trip is, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant might be extremely difficult to get into after August 29th since the highly anticipated
Galaxy's Edge will be open and the park will mostly likely be very crowded.
My biggest tip is to keep checking for reservations daily, if not multiple times a day. I often get very lucky snagging hard-to-get reservations within the week before I want to visit and even the day before or day of as guests are rearranging plans and cancelling their own dining reservations. I was able to snag a Be Our Guest Restaurant lunch reservation for July 4th this year just the night before. Be flexible and have a handful of restaurants on your wishlist. You can easily search for dining reservations using the
My Disney Experience mobile app if you aren't near a computer. This app will certainly come in handy while you are at Walt Disney World as well.
I will be sending pixie dust your way for a little good luck on those dining reservations! Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
