Our 1st trip to Disney! kids (6 & 4) Aug 25th w.5 day park pass. Arriving at the Caribbean Beach Resort around 3:30pm. I know it will be a long day of traveling, but what would you do the very first night? Parks we're hoping to hit this trip: MK, EP &a

    Hi Aaron,

I'm so excited to hear about your first trip to Walt Disney World!

It always surprises me how tired we are on travel day. First, the Caribbean Beach Resort will offer ample fun for your first night. Get settled in your room and head to the pool. Then have dinner at the food court. There's lots to explore after dinner including the playgrounds scattered on beaches throughout the resort.

Or plan a fun dinner for your first night. We used to go to Chef Mickey's on arrival night. Take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, then walk over to the Contemporary Resort for a fun meal. After your dinner with Mickey, take a ride on the monorail. Then, return to your resort for a relaxing swim before getting a good night's rest!

Another option is to head to Downtown Disney for dinner. The kids might enjoy the T-Rex Cafe.

You can also mix and match from these suggestions. I would just aim to choose a plan in which there is some down time (even if it's at the pool) and allows for an earlier bed time so that you make the most of your first morning at a park!
