Our 1st trip to Disney is in Jan! It will be a 6 and 4yr old, husband and I. We are going to use a stroller. Should I BRING a double stroller or 2 singles? OR should we RENT a double/2 singles?

    Hi there, Kristie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and congratulations on planning your FIRST trip to Walt Disney World Resort!  Your Mouseketeers are at the perfect ages to love everything magical about Walt Disney World Resort resulting in long-lasting memories for everyone!  Make sure you stop by Guest Services and pick up a "First Visit" celebration button to commemorate the occasion (and it makes for a perfect souvenir, too!).  I am so very excited for you and the vacation that you have planned!

Long days at the theme parks can be tiresome for everyone (grown-ups included) and I totally understand wanting to have a stroller available for little legs that will undoubtedly get tired sooner than you think!  When it comes to whether or not to bring a stroller with you versus renting one at the theme parks, I would take into consideration whether or not you think you will need one outside the theme parks – at the airport, between the theme parks and your Resort Hotel.  If so, then definitely plan to bring a stroller with you as the strollers available to rent at the theme parks cannot be removed from the theme parks.  Additionally, keep in mind that the strollers available to rent at the theme parks are made of molded plastic and while they perfectly serve their purpose, they may not be quite as comfortable and easy to maneuver as the ones you are used to at home!

When it comes to single(s) versus a double stroller, I think that really depends on how much you think your littles will use it – and whether or not you think they will want use of a stroller at the same time!  You may even be able to get by with renting one single stroller and then getting a second one if you find you need it!  I know my boys, as they have gotten older, do want to show some independence and walk a lot more than they did when they were younger, but do welcome the ride in a stroller when their legs get tired!  If you do plan on bringing your own stroller with you, make sure it fits within the stroller size guidelines found on the park rules.

My biggest consideration and recommendation would be to do what you think will make things easier on both YOU and your littles!  Wishing you the most magical and memorable vacation ever!
