Trip to Disney fully paid for. Coming in Mid November. If free dining comes out, I know we need to "rebook" but how do I get the money back that I already paid for the dining plan? Disney gift card or refund to credit card? Thanks! Just love the

    Hi Jessica,

I helped a friend through this very scenario just yesterday! So I can confirm that this is how it works:

If Free Dining is released for your dates, you would need to call Disney at (407) 934-7639 or your travel agent to modify your existing reservation. There will be no need to "rebook". You will simply call and ask if Free Dining is available for your existing reservation. If it is, your reservation will be modified.

If you made payment via a credit card, you will receive a refund to your card. It can take 1 to 2 billing cycles for this to occur.

I hope this helps and let us know if we can help with any further questions. Mid-November is a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World!
