This will be our 2nd trip to Disney with the dining plan for my husband, 4 year old daughter and I. We did mostly character meals last time which were fun but were hoping for some more "grown up meals" this time. Any suggestions?? Thank you!

    Hi Carrie!

Thanks so much for choosing to visit me here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Dining at Walt Disney World is definitely one of my favourite topics. Having been more than a dozen times with my kids, we've been through everything from Character Dining to fun, family meals, to dinner shows and even adult meals without the kids! For a 'real' grown up meal, consider sending your little Princess off to the Never Land Club at Disney's Polynesian Resort while you enjoy a fabulous meal at the nearby Citricos or Narcoossee's.

If you'd prefer to dine with your daughter in an entertaining setting but without Characters, a few other great options come to mind. The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is a fabulous experience for the whole family combining great food and entertainment into a fun, family evening. A few of my other favourite meals where the kids enjoy our surroundings include Teppan Edo, Coral Reef and Via Napoli, all located in Epcot. Also fantastic with some entertainment elements is 'Ohana for dinner at Disney's Polynesian Resort.

Other locations offering superb dining in a family-friendly environment include Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano at Hollywood Studios, the fantastic new Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom, and either Portobello or Paradiso 37 at Downtown Disney. Check out the menus and restaurant descriptions on the Dining page of the Walt Disney World website and see what you think!

These are but a few of my family's favourites! If you'd like more information about any of these suggestions, please feel free to write me back Carrie. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time planning your next visit to Walt Disney World!
