1st trip to Disney for my 7yo daughter. Staying for 6 days and would like a plan to get the most out of the 5 days to include the Mickey Holiday party but not be exhausted . Not into princesses but would like suggestion for other character dining. Thanks!

    Hi Kim,

Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming FIRST trip to Walt Disney World!

Helping with a touring plan will really depend on what exact dates you'll be visiting. It makes a huge difference whether you'll be there in early or late December as far as crowds. We'd welcome you to follow-up with another question that gives us that information so that we can best advise you. Of course, I can't guarantee that you won't be tired unless you are willing to go slowly and arrive with the expectation that you won't be able to see and do everything in five days AND be able to relax too. Do you plan to go to all four theme parks? Water parks? I would recommend allowing two days for the Magic Kingdom!

Some of my favorite character dining that is fun but not princess-focused include:
Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort
Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom
'Ohana character breakfast at the Polynesian (Lulu and Stitch)

It's going to be a magical vacation. Stop back and we'll help with your plans!
