Hi - trip 11/27 - 11/30 (DD5,DS7,DH), staying at DWL . Set bar high last trip (5/2010) with good planning and great ADRs (castle, chef mickey, Thouse). Dropped the ball this time, haven't booked anything - now nothing available!! Any suggestions? HELP!

Hi Deanna, I feel for you as this is one of those nightmares for people who like to plan with dining reservations but don't get to do it in time with last minute trips. Unfortunately, the only advise I can give is to keep trying everyday for spots to open up at your favorite locations (don't lose hope, this has worked for me in the past quite a few times both as a walk-in on the actual day and securing spots while actually being there on vacation). This is not guaranteed of course, but it certainly won't hurt to keep trying up until the last minute. I would make reservations now for some of your second, third or even fourth choices and if something opens up at your favorites between now and the time you are there, you can always cancel the reservations you want to replace these with. Just make sure that you check the new cancellation rules for many of the more popular restaurants that require canceling your reservation 24 hours in advance to avoid a penalty being charged to your credit card. At least if you have some of your choices booked (even though they are not your favorites), you will be guaranteed some dining reservations which is better than nothing. Hope this helps and good luck in getting the reservations you really are hoping for....don't give up! Best wishes, Brigitta
