1st trip 4 DD8 & I'm a little confused where to find accurate crowd predicts. I used one website but see diff recs here & on other sites. We 10/4@12 and leave 10/10@1. 7 day w/ph. 2nd what does low crowd really mean? Need a tour plan or can wonder?

    Hi Michelle,

Early October is a wonderful time to see Walt Disney World. The Halloween decorations are in full swing  and the fall holiday "spirit" is in the air. This is the time of year when I love it best at WDW because of the "low crowds". What that really means in lay terms is that waits for rides are minimal, dining reservations are usually easily accessible, and for me it is such a relaxed atmosphere because the activity is just lower. I will also tell you that when I visit WDW at this time of year, our family gets through all of the things we like to do at all 4 theme parks in 3 days. We take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours and even have time to get in all of our Advance Dining Reservations with very little hustle. Your 7 day with Park Hopper will be more than sufficient. You may find your self doubling back to the parks just to shop or to  do some things that you overlooked just because you will have the time left over. During this time of year, we have just walked in with no advance reservations to places like Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios for dinner, and Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney, especially during the middle of the week. I hope this gives you an idea of what "low crowds" mean. Keep the great questions coming! Its almost time for you to go!
