    Trip in 15 days-9 of us. Excited but some concerns.. 1. Shy/Moody teen 2. A couple young adults who may clash with a conservative one. 3. Desired sleep schedules 4. Showing up for group/reserved meals. Suggetions?

    Oh dear Richard!  Anytime you get a large group together you will find many different personalities and interests but that is why I think a Disney vacation is perfect!

    From day one let it be known that each person can have their own independence during their stay and that all must respect each other's ideas. The one time that everyone must adhere to the schedule is at meal times.  Make sure each person has the exact time and place for meals so there is no mistake about the plans or expectations. Don't try to keep the group constantly together every minute of every day. Let them branch out on their own since they sound like they are old enough to do that safely.  You can all head to the same park but then don't try to stay together since some will want to do thrill attractions while others will be more content with the shows etc.

    When traveling with our family group of 16 we planned our days in the parks together but didn't expect everyone to do the same things. We met up at mealtimes and then had the chance to share the experiences that each had in the park. This worked for us all the way up to when the kids were young adults. Make sure you enjoy the vacation as well and after doing all the planning and arranging just have some fun and don't worry about the others. You can't control emotions but you can alleviate your own stress.  Disney has a magical way of making everyone come down to a level where differences don't matter. You will probably see your shy and moody one smile more on this trip then any other time if you allow him/her to open up to what is around that interests them. Pixie dust is the same in all eyes!

    As with life, good behavior brings on good consequences and poor behavior brings on the not so good consequences.  Let the family know before you go what you expect from them and then leave it and enjoy yourself! I believe your vacation will be better then you expect!
