1st trip for all in 46 days. Want to try DD4 on a " big" ride. Which would you recommend try 1st. BTMR or Splash Mt. Or something else. Do not want to scare her but ease her into it. Ya'll have been such a huge help in planning our 1st trip. Th

    Hi there, Pamela!

Wow! What a fun plan for your little one.

The two rides you mention - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (BTMRR) and Splash Mountain (SM) - are definitely big rides, but they are about as opposite as can be.

BTMRR is a fairly traditional roller coaster that starts off zooming, while SM goes through a narrative dark ride before the climactic water-filled drop at the end. It all depends on your little girl's tastes: is she good with lots of nonstop motion, or would she prefer the leisurely story with the surprise ending?

Please bear in mind that each of these rides has a 40" height requirement. In either case, you will definitely want to make sure that she hits that top end before you commit.

I'd love to know what you decide - and how she likes it!

    See you later, celebrator,
