1st trip in 11 days w/ DH & kids(6,10,12). Overwhelmed about packing! Coming from Canada for 14 days. Could use any packing tips you may have. Allowed 2 suitcases each - can't imagine there would be room for 10 suitcases in our room at PO

Hi Nicole! Hope you get this before your packing has been completed!  It is not my favorite part of vacations!

I know it is still cold up in Canada but the good news is that Florida is back to some warmer temperatures.  I checked the ten day forecast from the national weather site, and it looks like Orlando will be in the lows of mid 50's to the highs of upper 70's during your stay.  There is a 30% chance of some random rain and storms on some of the days which is normal for this time of year.

My suggestion is to pack for layers.  When the sun is out it will feel warm and you will want your light pants, capris and possibly shorts.  But when the sun is just starting its day and when it goes down in the evening you will definitely want light jackets or sweatshirts.  Have everyone choose one that goes with everything so you don't have to take multiples.  You can leave your winter duds at home for this trip and that should provide more room in the suitcases.  Have everyone pick out two of the best walking shoes and only take those.  Disney is very casual including most restaurants so no need to bring fancy clothes. Rain ponchos can be bought at all shops on property if you do run into a random need to pack bulky rain gear!  Your resort will also have laundry facilities somewhere on the grounds if you need to use it during your stay.

The resort shops will also have incidentals such as shampoos, toothpaste etc. if it is easier to leave those at home.  Our family usually can get by with one suitcase each and then we try to store them inside each other if possible to save space.  If you do forget something, Disney will help you locate what you need.
