Trip date 12/26 - 01/05 party of 11. All considered adults. Can I make ADR for this large of a party on line? All suggestion appreciated. Thank you, Susan

    Hi Susan!

I'm so excited to hear you're planning a fun get-together during the holidays! Walt Disney World vacations are special at any time of the year, but I think the Holiday touches - from Christmas lights and candy canes to holiday carols give it an extra magical feeling!

In general, dining reservations for large groups can be made online. If you run into issues trying to set up your dining, I have a few tips for you.

The first tip is to consider restaurants that are well suited to handle larger crowds. For example, buffet-style meals like those at Boma - Flavors of Africa in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge are awesome for large parties. Since everyone can pick their favorite foods from the huge selection, you'll avoid having to coordinate ordering and other logistics like splitting complicated checks (if you need to worry about that. The large room, long tables, and serve-yourself style makes this a perfect option for group meals.

Second, be flexible in your meal times. Try looking for dining times that don't coincide with peak meal times - maybe a mid-morning brunch or a mid-afternoon, early dinner. You may find this scheduling much easier than trying to score a reservation right at noon.

Last, but not least, you can try to break up your reservation into two separate reservations. Try a reservation for 5 and a second reservation for 6 with overlapping times. While there is always a chance you'll be seated at different tables, I've always had luck letting the restaurant know that we'd like to sit together, if at all possible.

Since you're planning to visit during a peak holiday time, I would also encourage you to make your reservations as soon as the dining reservation window opens at 180 days prior to arrival. New reservations normally open at about 5:45 AM EST, with the phone lines opening a bit later. I would try to be up and ready to go with my list of restaurants right on time!

If you do have issues finding a reservation to accommodate all of you, you can also try calling (407) WDW-DINE for assistance. Cast Members are always super helpful when I have an unusual request or need extra help with a reservation.

I hope this helps! Be sure to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again if we can help with additional planning details!
