HI! Trip 12-21-12-27. Concerned about parks closing before we get there. MVMCP on 12-21, heard we can get in at 4 w/ just that ticket. Should we try? Is MK usually closed then until the party due to crowds? Other days, what about dining res. if closed

    Hi Holli!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

I would definitely try to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on the 21st.  It is a fabulous event and a lot of fun.  You can get into the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 pm using just a party ticket.  If you want to go, I highly recommend that you purchase them ahead of time as the last couple of parties are very popular and can sell out.  Disney limits the number of guests who can attend, so even a sold out party is a lot of fun.

The Magic Kingdom does indeed close due to reaching a maximum capacity but generally that only happens a couple of times during the holidays; most notably it usually happens on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.  A dining reservation will not allow you to enter a park if it is closed.  Based on recent history, Epcot almost never closes and the Magic Kingdom is the first park to close.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
