Does my trip have to be completely paid for before I can make park reservations? I've tried multiple times but it just freezes when I put my email in. I also noticed the entire week of Christmas is blacked out for dining, which has me nervous

Hey there, hi there, Cheyenne! Welcome to planDisney, where we help you get the answers to all your planning questions!

Oh boy! I am thrilled to see you are planning a trip during the most magical time of the year at Disneyland Resort. It sounds like you have booked a Disneyland Resort Hotel Package. You do not have to be paid in full in order to book your theme park reservations. Since your tickets will not be linked to your account until a few days before your visit, you will go through your hotel reservation to book the theme park reservations. Once you are logged into your MyDisney account on the Disneyland website or Disneyland app, you will go to "My Hotel Reservations", and on the reservation information page, you will see where you can click to make theme park reservations.

At Disneyland Resort, dining reservations open up 60 days in advance. It could be that when you last checked, reservations were not yet open for the dates you are visiting. They should now be open for booking. Christmas week is the most popular time to visit, so reservations will go quickly. If there's a specific reservation you are hoping to get, I recommend being diligent in checking daily. You never know when someone may change their plans, and a reservation may open up! Don't forget about locations outside of the parks as well. There are so many great dining options in the Downtown Disney District, as well as the Disneyland Resort Hotels. You don't have to be a Guest at the hotel to make reservations and dine!

Cheyenne, thanks so much for stopping by! I hope your Christmas visit is full of magic!
