We have a trip coming up next month (June 12-17) with my 2 young children (6 and 2). One of the days we have reservations at Epcot, but I am concerned that there will not be much for them to do. What is there that is geared toward younger children?

Hello, Brad! Welcome to planDisney. I’m so glad you’ve stopped by to see us with a question today!

I’m so glad to chat with you about your trip, which is just around the corner! It sounds like you are all set with Theme Park Tickets and Disney Park Pass Reservations! This is great to hear. Your family must be so excited!

Epcot is an incredible Theme Park. Everywhere you look, the magic of possibility surrounds you! While it may seem that it is a Theme Park geared toward older Guests, this is not the case! My children and I have had some of our most wonderful times at Walt Disney World while visiting Epcot, even in the younger years.

For starters, I would highly recommend a ride on Spaceship Earth! It is a bit of a dark ride but not at all fast or scary, so your two-year-old should be enthralled to be along for the ride! Plus, it is an amazing break from the heat if needed. Once you disembark, you will enter Project Tomorrow, which features interactive games and experiences, including a driving simulator that keeps my kiddos occupied for as long as we will let them be!

Another must-do attraction nearby is The Seas With Nemo And Friends. This incredible attraction allows you to float along with Nemo on his adventures! Plus, do not miss The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion. Get close up with clownfish, sharks, and more in the massive 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium they call home. Nearby, in The Land Pavilion, you will find incredible dining options, including Garden Grill Restaurant, where you may run into Mickey Mouse Himself! Plus, in Living With The Land, you can float along and learn about the sustainability efforts at Walt Disney World while getting up close to the inner workings of the Disney gardens and labs. Plus, depending on how adventuresome your littlest may be, one or both kids may enjoy a ride on Soarin’ Around The World, a breathtaking high-flying adventure! Just a little further, down in Future World, you can enjoy Journey Into Imagination with Figment and the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival! And a bit further on, a playground awaits!

Brad, I hope that this gives you even just a small glimpse of the incredible fun that awaits the whole family at Epcot. Please know that you cannot go wrong, and I am sure it may one day become one of your family’s favorite stops on your Disney adventures! It’s been a pleasure sharing some of my favorite memories with you. Happy travels, and please come back again anytime we can help!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Clara
