Hi Deirdre,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your questions! Also thank you so much for your kind words. We on the Disney Parks Moms Panel love to help you to plan magical vacations!
My family and I recently took the
Behind the Seeds Tour at the Land Pavilion at Epcot. It was a really good time. We enjoyed learning about some of the unique agriculture at Disney. We were able to sample cucumbers, and my daughter was even able to release lady beetles on a plant that she wanted to help in the greenhouses! Please be aware that the specific activities on each tour are subject to change. I recommend that you go on the Living with the Land attraction before you take the Behind the Seeds Tour. By going on the attraction first, you will have a base of knowledge of what is going on in the greenhouses, and then the tour will be even more interesting. It is not required, but I think that it is a good idea.
I believe that the tour that you are speaking of at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is the Wonders of the Lodge Tour. I called and spoke with a cast member, who informed me that you do not need to book this ahead of time, you simply show up at the start time and join the tour. This tour has been offered at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesdays through Saturdays, however, I do recommend that you check your Recreation Guide when you check into the resort for current times and information about this tour.
I hope that this information is helpful for you, Deirdre! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
