We have a trip coming up to Disney parks. I like to know if I could bring my own thermos. I had a large sinus tumor removal surgery this year. I need to drink warm water with no caffeine, no sugar. I like to know if I need to get a special permission. Thx.

    Hi Emiko,

Thank you for sending your question to us here at the planDisney Panel and hope you are recovering swiftly from your surgery. You'll be pleased to know that guests are generally allowed to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages, including a thermos with your preferred beverage, like warm water. I am one who always brings my own thermos to keep my drinks cool! It's a great way to stay refreshed throughout the day.

Considering your recent sinus tumor removal surgery and the need for warm water without caffeine or sugar, it's understandable why you'd want to bring a thermos. There's no need for special permission for this, but do keep in mind a few important park guidelines:

    * Thermos Size and Type: Ensure your thermos fits within the size guidelines for personal items and is made of a non-glass material.

    * Security Checkpoint: Your thermos will be inspected at the security checkpoint, as is standard for all items.

    * Water Refills: You can refill your thermos at water stations or any quick-service restaurant throughout the resort.

    * Ease of Carrying: Since you'll be carrying the thermos, ensure it’s convenient for travel and use.

Travel Tip: The heat and humidity in Florida can be a bit much, staying hydrated is crucial. Plan frequent rest breaks in shaded or indoor areas to avoid dehydration and fatigue. Also, Walt Disney World Resort is very accommodating to health-related needs, so don’t hesitate to ask any cast member for assistance if required.

I hope this helps you prepare for a wonderful and comfortable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out.

    Best wishes,

    ~Yael
