My trip is coming up in almost 6 months (arriving 5/9/20). I believe I can start booking dining reservations 11/11/19. What time of day can I start booking on 11/11? Can you share info on Star Wars Guided Tour? I think my 4 & 6yo boys will love it!

Hi, Michelle!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so glad to hEAR that you are planning ahead for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  When I'm planning a vacation, I always feel like the more details I can take care of in advance, the more I can just relax and enjoy the magic once I arrive.  Dining reservations for Table-Service restaurants are strongly encouraged and can be made 180 days in advance.  Based on your arrival date, you may begin making your dining reservations on November 11, 2019, and you can book those reservations online starting at 6:00 a.m. EST.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel during your vacation, you will be able to make dining reservations for your entire trip (up to 10 days) when it is 180 days from your check-in date.  If you will be staying elsewhere, you will need to make those reservations one day at a time.  I would highly recommend booking at least one character dining experience; they are so much fun!  Chef Mickey's is my family's favorite.

It sounds like the Force is strong with your family, and I think your boys are going to love Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The Star Wars Guided Tour is not currently being offered.  I recently spoke to a Cast Member about this experience and I was told that this tour may return at some point in the future, but there are no definite plans at this point.  Although it seems unlikely that the Star Wars Guided Tour would return before your visit, be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest news and announcements.

In the meantime, there are plenty of other Star Wars activities that your family will be able to experience during your vacation.  Be sure to sign your young Padawans up for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, and stop by Star Wars Launch Bay to visit with some of your favorite characters.  Of course, you will also want to journey to the planet Batuu to live out your very own Star Wars adventure at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.  Please be aware that there are a few experiences at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge that require a reservation.  You can make those reservations 180 days in advance just like your dining reservations.

If we can answer any additional questions for you as you prepare for your vacation, please visit us again.  Have a magical day!
