Our trip in 2020 was canceled due to COVID. As reimbursement for our trip, Disney placed the money we had already paid on Disney eGift cards. Does anyone know if our eGift card can be used at the park restaurants, shops, etc? The cards are on our phones.

Hey Howdy Hey Brian and welcome to planDisney!

So sorry to hear that your trip was canceled in 2020. But the good news is a lot has happened in the parks since then and gives you so much to look forward to when planning your next trip. That was nice that Disney was able to get you an eGift card so you can use the money towards a future trip so let's talk about where you can use it.

I am happy to let you know that you are able to use it throughout Walt Disney World Resort in all parks and most locations around the resort including Disney Springs. This includes most shops, restaurants, entertainment and so much more!

Now one really easy way to access your eGift card is to upload it to either your Google Play account or Apple Pay account. If you have it loaded on your Google Account, you can use it to pay for things like mobile ordering food as well as with your phone. You can also do this as well with your Apple Pay account. With both, you will have to set up Disney MagicMobile in order to use your phone to tap on the touchpoints at the cashier when checking out. If you do have an Apple smartwatch, you can use it as your MagicBand to tap on touchpoints to access your gift card.

The eGift cards are super easy to load onto any smart device and super easy to use. I hope you have a great time planning your next trip, we cannot wait to welcome you to the Most Magical Place on Earth real soon! Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
