Hey Joslyn-
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited for your daughter. Get your camera ready because the smiles will last for miles. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a fantastic place for your daughter’s first visit. My extended family stayed there last summer for a week and it was my niece’s and nephew’s first trip. They loved swimming in the Big Blue Pool, playing on splash pad and seeing Simba outside their window (we were in the Lion King Suites). She will have a great time.
The good news is that your dining reservation are independent of your resort. A Guest does not need a resort reservation to book a dining experience. Your reservations are safe and sound.
If you choose to to change resorts please contact your authorized Disney travel specialist first then a Cast Member at 407-WDISNEY (407-934-7639) if needed.
No matter which resort you end up making your “home” for your trip your daughter is going to have the best time. Please let the front desk know that you are celebrating her first trip and any other milestones such as birthdays and anniversaries. Walt Disney World Resort has the cutest buttons for Guests to wear. Her’s will say “1st Visit.” It is a great keepsake and a badge honor and excitement. Also if you get a chance, attend
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The cookies and hot chocolate are fantastic and it even “snows” on Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom Park.
Have a blast over Thanksgiving!
Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
