Hi there! We have a trip booked for October and we are wondering if Disney offers any discounts to families wanting to bring a home nursing professional with. Our youngest daughter has a lot of medical issues and she has nursing Monday through Friday.

    Hi, Daniel!

Welcome to the Moms Panel. I am happy to hear your family is planning to visit Walt Disney World this fall!

While there are no discounts for medical assistants or caregivers, Disney does provide some services that will hopefully make your stay a bit more comfortable. I do not know your needs, but here are some areas that might be of interest to you. If highlighted, click on it for more information:

-Wheelchair/ECV rentals in all the theme parks
    -Accessible resort rooms
    -Accessible transportation around Disney property
    -Special dietary meals available
    -Theme park accommodation
-Connecting guest rooms and/or suites (which may accommodate your care giver easier)

To make sure you book an appropriate room for your family's needs, I would book by phone at (407)939-1936. The more specific you can be about how to make your vacation more comfortable, the more help they can be. Allow plenty of time for planning, as the more time they have to prepare for your magical arrival, the better!

Of course, please consult with your doctor on your travel plans and any guidelines he might provide. Hopefully, you will all enjoy a magical vacation full of Mickey-filled memories!
