We have a trip booked Nov. 2020, the Christmas Show should be going on when we go. When do the dates usually come out for the specific dates that they will be taking place?

    Hi Sheila,

I’m so glad to hear that you’re already thinking about the details of your Disney vacation during next year’s holiday season! By planning early, you’ll extend the magic and fun and build anticipation so that when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, all of your Disney dreams can come true!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is my very favorite special event of the entire year! With the festive spirit, low wait times for attractions, complimentary snacks, snow on Main Street U.S.A., holiday-themed shows and fireworks, and the my very, very favorite part of the evening, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, you’re going to LOVE it! I’d definitely keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, as they usually release upcoming dates sometime in the spring. This year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates were announced on April 8th, and last year, they were announced on March 19th. They actually just released an article today about this year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and you should definitely read it because it will get you SO excited for your visit!

Of course we can’t forget about all of the other wonderful holiday festivities happening at each theme park and Resort hotel. One thing my family loves to do is tour several of the Resort hotels to enjoy each of their unique spins on holiday decorations. We especially love hunting for hidden Mickeys on the gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and I personally find the giant Christmas tree at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to be my favorite!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sheila, and please feel free to visit us along the way with more questions as you plan your itinerary, dining reservations, FastPass+ selections, and more. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation FULL of Christmas joy!
