Hello, Michelle! Welcome to planDisney!
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just days away, lucky you! Let’s get right to your question and help your husband link your vacation to his My Disney Experience App on his phone.
First, let’s confirm that your upcoming trip has all the appropriate Guests listed for your travel party by logging in to your My Disney Experience account. On your computer, hover over MyDisneyExperience and select My Plans. The next screen will have five circles for the major planning tools: Family & Friends, Resort Hotel, Park Tickets, Park Reservations, and Dining. When you hover over the Family & Friends circle, you will see two options: View List and Add a Guest. Select View List, and on the following page, you will see all the Guests you currently have in your travel group, allowing you to manage tickets, reservations, and plans.
- If your husband is listed here already, click Settings next to his profile and ensure the “Allow (husband's name) to view all of your plans” is toggled on. While there, you can also change other settings, such as allowing him to view Disney PhotoPass photos and giving him access to make plans for Managed Profiles.
- If your husband is not listed, select Add a Guest at the bottom of your list. On the following page, you can enter his information or find him from your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation.
In some instances, Guests can have multiple accounts associated with their name, either from a prior visit when they didn’t have their own My Disney Account or when they may have had an account managed by someone else but then created their own. Whatever the case, you would see your husband’s name appear more than once, or his profile avatar may be different for you than what he is seeing on his account. To merge the accounts, locate the profile on your Family & Friends List with the “Profile managed by you” under his avatar, open the settings, and then select the “Share Planning with...” link. You will enter the email address for the account your husband is using to sign into his My Disney Experience account, which will generate a request for him to accept/approve. Once he does this, the accounts should merge, and he should now be able to see your plans.
If none of the above steps help resolve the issue, Michelle, I suggest speaking with a Cast Member at a Guest Relations location at one of the theme parks or the front desk of your Disney hotel. You can also call the phone number for My Disney Experience, MagicBand, and MagicBand+ listed under the Reservations and Tickets section of the Help Center.
I hope this helps! Please come back to planDisney with any additional vacation planning questions you may have!
See you real soon,
Brent
