I have a trip booked in February, but recently had an unexpected surgery to have my gallbladder removed. I’m not sure how my digestive system will work on vacation. Would a DAS be reasonable to request due to potential restroom emergencies?

Hi, Meghan!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in February!  February is a great time to visit.  In fact, my next Walt Disney World Resort vacation is scheduled for just a few days before your arrival date.  I've experienced great weather during previous February visits, and I love attending the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.  I'm sure you will agree that visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth in February is practically perfect in every way!

When I visit the Walt Disney World theme parks with my family, we use Disability Access Service (DAS) because my son has autism.  Disability Access Service is intended for guests whose disability prevents them from waiting in a typical queue environment.  To see if you would qualify for Disability Access Service due to your medical condition, I would recommend contacting Disability Services prior to your trip or speaking to a Cast Member at Guest Relations once you arrive at one of the Walt Disney World theme parks.

As you count down the days until your magical vacation, don't forget to make your FastPass+ selections.  If you will be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you will be able to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to your check-in date.  If you are staying elsewhere, FastPass+ selections may be made 30 days in advance.

    See ya real soon!
