Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katie!
I am so happy to hear that you will soon be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! We are all very excited to be able to return “
home” and enjoy the magic of the theme parks and Disney Resort hotels.
Due to the current situation, some Disney Resort hotels are not being scheduled for reopening yet. An updated list of hotels scheduled to reopen up to October 14 is available online, however Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside is still not included. The Walt Disney World Resort is constantly evaluating the situation and more locations may reopen when the time is right. Guests with current hotel reservations for 2020 are encouraged to contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936 for assistance and to discuss possible modifications. I recommend contacting them as soon as possible to verify what options are available to you. Please reach out to your travel professional if you did not book directly through Disney.
Katie, as you prepare to return to the magic, I highly recommend learning more about
updates that have been made to promote the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members, including enhanced cleaning, physical distancing and reduced contact. Keep the
My Disney Experience app updated on your mobile device and don’t forget that a park reservation via the
Disney Park Pass system will be required along with valid admission to enter one of the theme parks. If you haven’t purchased tickets yet, I am happy to share that sales for 2020 have resumed and you can even
check theme park reservation availability online before
purchasing tickets.
Thank you for sending another question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope this helps you while planning and that you come back to visit us once again real soon.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
