Hi there, Mike, and Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by and sending us this great question. I'm always happy to help a fellow Coloradan!
How exciting that you're planning to visit
The Happiest Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year! The
holidays at the Disneyland Resort are so magical! The
Capture Your Moment photo sessions are unique to the
Walt Disney World Resort and take place during theme park hours. I have an idea though about how you can have some photos taken with the holiday decorations and minimize other people being in the background.
If you are staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, there will be
early entry access to the theme park beginning later this summer. You can be one of the first guests to enter the theme park! This is a great opportunity to have a
Disney PhotoPass photographer take your photo in front of the Christmas tree,
Sleeping Beauty Castle, and other spots throughout the park where photographers are positioned and when crowds are much smaller. I would also suggest having photos taken by the Christmas tree at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This tree is always decorated so beautifully and, in my experience, it's a great spot to have photos taken without worrying about other people being in the background.
I hope these ideas help with your planning! Please visit us again at
planDisney if you have more questions about the holly, jolliest season. We would love to help!
Smiles,
Lisa
