We have a trip booked August 1 through the 6th at the Yacht Club. According to the reopening list, our resort won't be open yet. Will they automatically change our resort?

    Hey Lacie!

So glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Happy to hear you have an upcoming trip to Walt Disney World on the calendar.

After checking the Update on Disney Resort Hotels Reopening page, I see that Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is not yet set to open until August 24, 2020 (subject to change). Disney will continue to evaluate the health environment and reopen more Resort hotel locations when the timing is right. So as of now, it sounds like your reservation will need to be modified.

I know that Disney is sending out emails with information about operational updates, asking Guests to confirm their vacation plans, and offering the option to modify a reservation if needed. Embedded in the email is a button that says "I'm Planning on Modifying My Reservation." Disney will then verify your reservation and that your reserved Resort is closed, and will follow up with you on next steps.

If you haven't received an email yet, Hakuna Matata! I would recommend calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to ask about changing your resort hotel plans or use the Disney Reservation Center online chat feature (the chat icon in the right sidebar on the Disneyworld.com site).

A surefire way to stay on top of all the late-breaking news and announcements is to follow the Disney Parks Blog and check the Know Before You Go information about parks and tickets frequently.

Here's hoping the pixie dust flies and you get a Walt Disney World Resort stay that's truly fit for a princess!
