My trip is 2/25-3/1 and I've become a bit consumed with planning it everyday! Its overwhelming but in a good way! Table service for dinner and quick for lunch,is that a good way of doing things? Pick restaurants in the park we do that day?

    Hi Rachel,

The WDW Moms Panel understands the compulsion to plan trips to Disney! I'm always planning my next trip no matter how long in advance it is!

Yes, I would recommend dinner as your table service meal, if you will be utilizing the Disney Dining Plan. You'll get the most value out of the plan this way. If you are paying out-of-pocket, then work in some breakfasts and/or lunches in order to keep costs down. This is the strategy that our family uses!

As you design your itinerary, try to work in a mid-day break back at your resort. If you'll be going to a park by dinner time, plan to eat in that park or nearby. For example, if we are headed to Epcot, we would also consider restaurants at the Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Yacht Club.

One evening that we plan on touring the Magic Kingdom, we will first dine at Trail's End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness before taking the boat over to the Magic Kingdom.

If you are planning a lunch, you can do this while in the park, or on your way back to your resort for a break. Sometimes it's a nice escape to leave a park at dine at a nearby resort. For example, the Kona Cafe and the Grand Floridian Cafe, are excellent lunch options near the Magic Kingdom.

If this is your first WDW trip, I would concentrate on restaurants closest to where you are touring so that you can make the most of your touring time.
