Hi Christine,
Wow, what a great vacation you have planned! A stay at a two-bedroom villa at
Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa sounds absolutely fantastic.
Some of my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists recommend requesting a higher floor for a better ocean view. I also found a thread on an unofficial site which discusses some of the views at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa. Go to the site disboards.com and search for "Aulani Villas & Views." You should find a discussion thread about the views from the villas as well as photographs from some of the villas. If you made your reservations through Disney Vacation Club, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 to make your request. As you get closer to your vacation, you can also call the resort directly at 1-714-520-7001 to make your request. Please do note that while Disney will do their best to honor any requests, they are not guaranteed.
As to what to do, there are so many possibilities right at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa! Some things that seem to be at the top of many guests' lists include seeing the Starlit Hui, a show that blends traditional Hawaiian and modern entertainment, and having breakfast or dinner at Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands, a restaurant which offers fresh and international fare. If you enjoy water activities, many guest enjoy renting snorkel gear, or relaxing in the lazy river.
I hope that this gives you some ideas for your visit to Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa, Christine. I want to thank my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists Erin, Kari, Andrea, and Beth C. for their input on this question. Have a wonderful time planning your trip, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
