    hi! Going to our 2nd trip in august! question: can i use giftcards for everything in disney? also what non character sit down meals do you recommend for an 8year old boy?when can i make my dining reservations?

    Hi Mariela. I'm so excited to hear that you are planning your second adventure to WDW!

    You can use Disney Gift Cards in Walt Disney World, including at the theme parks, resorts owned by Disney, water parks and Downtown Disney.

    There will be some exceptions. For example, some outdoor vendors in the parks such as small snack carts are unable to accept gift cards. In Downtown Disney, only participating merchants will accept the card.

    Disney Gift Cards can be used individually throughout Walt Disney World or apply them to your WDW resort account to pay for your room, tickets and/or purchases.

    My son has always enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Boma. After breakfast, we like to view the animals from Arusha Rock which is outside the main lobby. Another popular dining choice would be Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge. It's a hoot for any meal!

    All restaurants take Advance Dining Reservations 180 days in advance. Depending on your actual dates, you'll be able to start making reservations in February!
