Our trip is in Aug. Some of our party will be at the Boardwalk Club Villas. We will be at the YC. I just read that we cannot visit each others pools. Are there any pools close by that we can go to together The cousins might want to play together.

Hi Susan! I can understand your issue with your family being split at two different resorts. Cousins will of course want to spend as much time together.

Pool hopping to other resorts beyond the one you have a reservation at is not allowed. You can understand how guests would be tempted to abuse the privilege if anyone could come and go to any resort pool. They are constructed to fit the size of the resort which includes tables and chairs and general lounge and swimming area. If other resort guests were allowed to come and go it might prohibit guests who are registered guests not to enjoy their own facilities. This has proven to be the case for parking at resorts as well.

The Stormalong Bay pool at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts is strongly restricted. Life guards will ask you at the entrances to show your room key and given a bracelet to wear during your pool stay. The rule is in place as well for the Boardwalk pool. The family that is staying at the Boardwalk can ask for special permission when they check in for the rest of the family to join them but it would be at the discretion of the cast member since the rule is in place that it is not allowed.

Your best bet is to spend a great day together at either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach water parks. Here the families can be together and enjoy some awesome slides and lazy rivers and wave pools to their hearts desire. Each park offers something special so you would need to choose the one that best fits the children's ages and interests. They are both located within just minutes of the two resorts. Wishing you warm and beautiful swimming weather for your vacation!
