Our trip is from Aug 18 to 31. 13 night- 10 day park hopper plus dining. Since the dining plan is free starting the 25th, how do we book in order to take advantage? If we make two separate reservations, we end up paying extra $ for our park hopper.

    Hi Jill,

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

The only way to take advantage of this special offer is to book two reservations. I would price out booking August 18 to 25th with your park hoppers.

Then, price out a package adding only one park ticket for each guest plus the Free Dining offer with a check in date of August 25th and check out date of August 31st.

In order to book Free Dining, you must book a package which includes at least one park ticket per person. Don't add the park hopper to this ticket and use it on a day that your family would be okay touring only one park.

I would then compare the price of the two reservations vs. one package without free dining. For your first reservation which doesn't qualify for Free Dining, I would watch the Special Offers closely for a room only discount!

I really wish that I had a better solution for you other than changing your vacation dates! I've had this happen to our family on previous trips. Your vacation is starting during the high season of summer and ending during a less busy time as kids around the country go back to school. Free Dining is usually offered as an incentive during less crowded times of the year at WDW.

Best wishes to your family for a magical vacation!
