Hi Moms! Our trip is almost here and we can't wait. We are considering taking a break on a MK day and going see the horses at FW. I am just trying to figure out how to get to the horseback riding place from MK, and how long we should plan to get there? THX

    Hi Patricia,

You will love going to Fort Wilderness Campground.  From the Magic Kingdom, you will just need to take a short boat ride to the Campground.  The boat ride usually will take around 10-15 minutes but you may need to wait 10 minutes to get on the boat.  The Tri-Circle-D Ranch is not too far of a walk.  You can take a guided ride on horseback through Sherwood Forest of Fort Wilderness.  Riders must be at least 9 years old and are 48 inches tall and weigh less than 250 lbs.  You can book up to 90 days before your vacation by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.  There are also Wagon Rides and Archery lessons on certain days as well.  You certainly will spend at least 2 hours there but can easily spend more.  I would recommend eating at the Trail's End Restaurant.  The fried chicken there is AMAZING!  I know you will just love Fort Wilderness Campground, Patricia!  Have a magical adventure!
