Greetings Louise,
First of all, on behalf of the Disney Parks Moms Panel, congratulations on your recent family addition. I just know this first trip to Walt Disney World as a family of four will hold even more magical memories for all of you. Despite all of the times I visited as a child and teenager and had a blast, nothing compares to traveling there as a mother and seeing all the wonder and joy through their eyes.
Since your children are still a toddler and an infant, it is likely that many of the ride vehicles will be able to accommodate your family of four. However, if the cast member feels it would be unsafe or too cramped, you may be asked to ride in two separate vehicles. One thing my husband and I do, since our children are bigger now and we have three, is we swap turns riding with the kids. If I ride with my daughter, my husband will ride with our sons, then on the next ride we will switch. However, when they were younger and we only had two, there were quite a few rides we could all fit in one ride vehicle.
Visit the Walt Disney World page for
planning your trip with little ones. This site has very useful tips and suggestions for parents. There are sample itineraries to make the most of your vacation. Also, if you are not already aware, there are
Baby Care Centers in all four theme parks, which offer a quiet respite where you can change diapers, nurse or even simply take a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks.
Have a wonderful trip!
