Hi Bayley!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR. I'm Kristen, and I'm happy to be your planEAR today!
Oh boy! This is a doozy of a question indeed. I'm so sorry that you're having a bit of ticket trouble, Bayley! I've seen a few comments from others who are also experiencing the same thing, so I wonder where the snafu is starting from. Anyhow, let's figure out a way to get you to The Happiest Place on Earth!
If you were thinking of purchasing a
Vacation Package, which bundles your
Disneyland Theme Park Admission Tickets + a stay at either a
Disneyland Resort Hotel or a
Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel, you could
call the Vacation Package Helpline. Their number is (714) 520-5060. What I like about Disneyland Vacation Packages is that they have a generous cancelation policy; if anything happens and you need to delay or cancel your visit to Mickey's house up to 30 days before your check-in date, you'll get a full refund! If you have to cancel your visit between 29 to 5 days before your arrival, you'll only forfeit your $200 deposit!
If, however, you already have a bed for your head and you truly need just
Theme Park Admission Tickets, I have two ideas. The first is to look at other places to purchase your entry passes; sometimes big box retail or even grocery stores sell e-Disneyland tickets (can you access the Target.com website in CA? Check there first) where the codes will arrive in your inbox after a few hours. But also check any memberships you may have, like CAA or Costco, or through perk portals like your credit card points or if your company participates in the website 'tickets at work.'
One last thought I have is to buy
Disney Gift Cards with your credit card, either as
e-cards on ShopDisney.com or locally at stores where you can find them, and then use the Disney Gift Cards to purchase the various elements of your holiday. What I like about this plan is that even if you overbuy an amount of Disney Gift Cards, you can still use this form of Mickey money all across the theme parks for food and souvenEARs. The one warning is that Disney Gift Cards can only carry up to $1,000 USD*, and you can only use so many different forms of payment via the online checkout. (In-person gift card payments will let you go crazy; I've used 10 before to pay for a Disney Hotel room.) So if you're trying to buy a whole Mouseketeer Clubhouse worth of tickets, you might have to split your transactions up into separate purchases. (If you can only find smaller denominations, you can combine the cards into one on the official
Disney Gift Card Website.)
I hope that this helped you to plan, and purchase, your upcoming Disneyland day, Bayley! Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Instagram account for all kinds of cool tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
